We feel extremely lucky to have a Life Alive restaurant two blocks from our house! I was just there for a delicious breakfast (veggie and quinoa hash with an egg ) with my daughter. We both loved our matchas because, being organic, they do not have the slightly bitter pesticide aftertaste. I've also had good coffee there.
My husband and I go there for dinner once-a-week, usually to dine in but occasionally to take out. The Greek rice soup and the Butternut Squash soups are both excellent. My husband favors a salad with his soup and I order a different "warm bowl" every visit. There are so many yummy choices, and all or mostly gluten-free —a huge help to me! You can also choose from a big list of add-ons if you'd like more protein, such as an egg, almonds, black beans, and many other choices. A further benefit for us is that the people working there are great! I left my pocketbook there one night and the manager brought it to my house the next day!
