Lims Chinese and Sushi Restaurant

Run! It was awful! I have a gluten allergy so I called ahead and was assured they could accommodate me. What they mean is you can order food with no sauce or spice. First, she brought me a bowl of tepid water with white rice and chunks of chicken in it and called it soup. I sent that back. I ordered the Thai curry refried rice. It has a few vegetables, beef and egg in white rice with dry curry seasoning. I took it home and refried it with more eggs, veggies, chicken and both gluten free Tamari and Szechuan sauces. Tomorrow, I’ll rinse off the nasty sledge off my daughter’s beef broccoli and season it with gluten free teriyaki sauce. She didn’t feel well after eating 1/2 her egg drop soup that you could stand a spoon up in it was so thick and the egg roll with very sweet duck sauce. But my son couldn’t eat his food at all! He ordered crispy duck and it looked like a plate of slop for farm animals. She didn’t take it off the bill, so we paid and left. I’m taking my son to PF Chang’s before he leaves for Europe for Christmas so we don’t leave this as our Chinese-Jewish-Christmas tradition for this year.

We have been seeking a good Chinese Restaurant and after reading multiple reviews we chose to try Lims. The restaurant is vintage in design,however, you can tell it has been well take care of and kept clean. Yes, there are areas that could use better repair but this place is amazing clean. We ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken gluten free(no breading). It was good. General Taos Chicken was delish. Where to start :) The out side wrapper of the egg roll was crispy and the filling tasty. Best one I have had in a while! The plum sauce must be made made in house because it is just delicious! The chicken had the best crunchy outside with the chicken being very very moist. The sauce was yummy as was the fried rice. They serve soda in the can so they have both Diet Coke and Pepsi!:) :) Portions are amazing too. We will be coming back!
