Linda Bean’s Maine Kitchen & Topside Tavern

Was very excited to see the large selection of GF items. Was very disappointed to learn that they could not turn on the fryer and the vast majority of items were not available. Also ordered an appetizer of GF stuffed mushrooms that never showed up. I didn't think they were fried, so my guess is the kitchen staff didn't want to be bothered making gluten free items that evening. I got a burger that was just ok. 🤷‍♂️

First time here, despite multiple visits to Freeport, as we only live an hour away. Menu had a lot of options that appealed to us as my husband is GF due to Celiac. We were excited & decided to try Linda’s instead of our usual restaurant choice. Unfortunately, half way thru his haddock melt he pulled a black hair out of his mouth! Instant spoiler. He couldn’t even eat his fries & coleslaw after this. Waiter offered a free dessert, which is a difficult option for someone with Celiac Disease and his appetite now gone from the disgusting hair. Paid for a meal that half of it was wasted. Won’t take a chance again. We will stick to the Bistro Grill for dining when in Freeport
