First impressions. I like brick oven pizza and this was in fact what I'd expect out of Brick Oven pizza. The crust of the regular crust is crispy and slightly blackened as you would expect. The pizza was prepared neatly and had adequately dispersed toppings so you didn't miss anything with each bite.
Flavor and consistency. The crust was a little thin for my personal taste which is the only reason why I personally wouldn't give it 5 stars, but that doesn't detract from the quality. It was evenly cooked and delicious. The SAUCE though, best sauce I have had on a pizza in some time. I ended up eating the entire small pizza in an evening.
Gluten free. The gluten free crust was different though and I understand it is likely because it was gluten free, but the crust was soggy and wet. I'm sure it would have held together better if there were a binding agent such as cheese at the top of the pizza, but unfortunately no vegan cheese options are offered. However, this again doesn't detract from my personal rating as I do not have such dietary restrictions and I understand the added expense, lack of consumption, and short shelf life of vegan cheeses typically limits these options, but I feel that it should be mentioned.
I only live about 6 minutes away and had no stops from the shop to home, so I wouldn't expect time to be a factor in this. It was still hot when we began eating.
Ultimately, I would eat here again, but it wouldn't be a place that I personally would go out of my way for. If you read this, take it with a grain of salt. It is excellent pizza, just not my preferred style.
