I found this shop early in the morning. I went in because I thought it looked similar to a certain famous cupcake shop. They also had vegan and gluten-free options. I wanted to order gluten-free, but there were only five cupcakes available in the morning. Are they leftovers from yesterday??? I wanted to ask, but thought it would be rude (I don't think it would be rude in America, but I'm sure they would say otherwise), so I went for the popular Chocolate Brooklyn whatever, which has a lot of different items lined up. I was nervous about whether the sponge would be fluffy or hard until I actually touched it, but I couldn't wait until I finished paying and touched it through the paper bag, and it was fluffy, so I was relieved. The taste was sweet, but both the frosting and the sponge were fluffy and good.

This was such a great surprise to find. The place had a great vibe. They had a few tables with seats. Great lighting and beautiful decorations. But the cupcakes were delicious. We got a vanilla cupcake, chocolate and strawberry one, blueberry cheesecake and the banana pudding ice cream (which was by far the BEST PART OF THE TRIP). The cupcakes were just the right amount of sweet. They even had gluten options for all the options. They also had a cute bar for hot items. We will be back.

neon lights, pink, and checkered floors mark the corner of the block occupied by the little cupcake bake shop. we ordered a rice krispies treat, a gluten free banana chocolate chip cupcake, and a gluten free chocolate cupcake. i am largely partial to anything banana and chocolate chip related, but will admit that i could taste that the cupcake was gluten free in an almond-y sort of way. (many gluten free pastries are made with almond flour.) i didn’t mind it much though. the bake shop was crowded around 6pm, filled with people looking for a sweet treat to either celebrate or ruin their dinner. it was lovely.
