Little Lanka Restaurant

Absolutely delicious food! I visited on a quiet Monday night for dinner. The service was friendly and helpful - my husband requires gluten free and they were able to quickly identify what he could and couldn’t have from the menu. Fortunately there were many options for him which is always a bonus. The food arrived quickly and tasted sublime. I hadn’t had Sri Lankan food before so wasn’t too sure what to expect but after tonight’s experience I’ll certainly be going back for more! My husband’s favourite dish was the Hopper starter while mine was the Ulundu Vadai.

Little Lanka catered our wedding this weekend and we were over the moon with everything. We are long-time fans of the restaurant so were really keen on having their food at our wedding. It was a big even with about 150 guests in a tipi, and many people hadn't tried Sri Lankan food before. In the months leading up to the wedding we worked with Thil to try loads of dishes and figure out our menu. We ended up going for short eats as canapes, then a buffet style main meal with a really wide variety of dishes. The food was all freshly made and hot which must have been a challenge given the amount of guests we had. Our friends and family absolutely loved the food and those local to Manchester will be visiting the restaurant soon we're sure! Also we really appreciated that various gluten free/vegan/dairy free diets were all catered for so our guests could all enjoy the deliciousness! Thanks so much to Thil, his dad who cooked the delicious food, and the rest of the team who helped out on the day. The food was such an important part of the event and we couldn't have been happier with it. Thanks ☺️☺️
