I usually don't write reviews, but my recent experience at Little Miss Mezza compels me to share my story. As someone with coeliac disease, I am extremely cautious about what I eat, and I always confirm with the staff if a dish is gluten-free. Unfortunately, despite confirming with a staff member after we requested the gluten free bread option, I was served bread containing gluten. This led to an incredibly unpleasant and distressing experience, as I ended up having to make myself sick in the bathroom.
To make matters worse, the staff seemed to avoid us afterward and did not offer any sincere apologies or compensation. I was still unwell the next day, which is particularly disheartening given that I have been managing my celiac disease for 16 years without such a severe incident.
I understand that cross-contamination is always a risk, but it’s crucial for restaurants to accurately communicate gluten-free options. I hope this feedback encourages Little Miss Mezza to enhance their protocols for handling dietary restrictions.
For those with similar dietary needs, I recommend being cautious and perhaps checking with the staff multiple times to ensure your meal is safe.
