I have dined at numerous restaurants in Noosa and was deeply disappointed with this particular experience. The issues began when we called at 3:00 PM to request adding three people to our reservation. While we were pleased that the staff agreed, we had significant concerns about communication due to a noticeable language barrier, which required us to clarify the request multiple times. Despite their confirmation, upon arrival at 5:30 PM, we were informed that no record of the change had been made. The staff's response was unhelpful and implied the error was on our end, which set a poor tone for the evening.
Once seated, we ordered drinks, but one was forgotten, and we had to remind the staff to bring it. When it began to rain, we requested to move to a different table, but instead of accommodating us promptly, the manager left us standing in the rain for several minutes, appearing indifferent and lacking empathy. Her demeanor was unwelcoming and dismissive.
Additionally, there were several errors with our food order. Despite specifying that we would like both pita bread and gluten-free bread, we were only served the gluten-free option. We also ordered two servings of saganaki but were served only one.
What was especially frustrating was the handling of a meal for our 11-month-old infant. We requested a kids' meal with potatoes instead of chips, as he couldn’t eat chips, but the staff declined. When the meal was brought out, we asked for the remaining portion to be packed for later, only to discover it had been thrown away.
Although the food itself was of good quality, the staff lacked knowledge of the menu and displayed significant communication barriers, which severely impacted the experience. To further complicate matters, upon receiving the bill, we noticed an erroneous charge for six lattes we never ordered.
Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the service was disorganized, unprofessional, and lacking in basic hospitality, making this an unfortunate and disappointing experience.
