Little Truckee Ice Creamery

This was a cool place, fun little lakeside ice cream shop. They have good ice cream, with some unique flavors. I did not however like the caramel sauce, but you might. I did see them putting marshmallow topping, then toasting it with a torch on another customers ice cream and that looked brilliant. For gluten free eaters, they did have one option labeled GF, but ice cream in general is pretty safe.

Asked if there were any peanuts or tree nuts (life threatening food allergy) in the cookies and cream ice cream. They didn't know. When asking about cones, they offered my son a gluten free cone but had no idea if there were peanuts or tree nuts in it. Sad to see a place these days that are completely unsafe for those with food allergies to get a treat. My 10 year old was very disappointed. As for the reply....your employee did no such thing. She shrugged when I asked about allergies and said "I don't know" to my questions. She *never* offered to check anything in the back and when I asked about a clean scoop she ROLLED HER EYES and said "I guess". Will never go here again.
