I have celiac disease and this place exceeded all expectations! The kindness and friendliness of the staff are nothing short of admirable. They created an entirely gluten-free menu, where even the other diners were pleasantly surprised by the goodness of the dishes. Excellent quality ingredients, an additional note of merit to the risotto with pumpkin, stracchino and amaretti, I think the best risotto I've ever eaten! The gluten-free puff pastry cake was a dream! Fresh and crunchy! Unfortunately I'm not from the area, but if I were to return to Pavia Locanda del Carmine would definitely be an unmissable stop!
