Friendly, courteous staff. Being gluten free was no problem at all. Couldn't have been more helpful. Delicious food. Trout fillet followed by panna cotta for an evening meal. So impressed we booked for Sunday lunch the next day. Another excellent meal! Super dog friendly too.

Lovely pub. There's a really nice circular route you can take from here that includes views of dinosaurs across the river (no joke) and steam trains if you time it right. We saw a kingfisher and a heron too! Staff at the pub knew right away that the nuts were gluten free - something I appreciate as a coeliac. The menu didn't seem very coeliac friendly sadly but was nice to eat some yummy bar snacks and have a drink by the river.
