DO NOT GO IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES, THEY ARE NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND THE OWNER / MANAGEMENT WILL NOT TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS!!!
A friend of mine who has an allergy to dairy ordered the Chocolate cake which on the menu states ‘dairy free and gluten free’ (see photo). When this cake arrived it had whipped cream on, after questioning the waitress if this was dairy free cream due to allergies she got another member of staff over who quickly snatched the cake away. When coming back with the same cake the waitress stated ‘this isn’t dairy free, but would you still like it’ after stating AGAIN that she is DAIRY FREE, the waitress took the cake away with no apologies given.
After asking to speak to a manager we were sent a guy who stated he wasn’t the manager, he didn’t seem to understand the seriousness of this situation until he was redirected to their ‘Allergy notice’ which is posted by the entrance. He then left and got the ‘owner’ who again, didn’t seem to understand the seriousness of these actions and referred to his waitressing staff as “just runners who are paid to serve food that’s it” he also stated they ‘do not serve dairy free cake’ so their menu is a clear lie.
After backwards and forwarding for a few moments NO OFFER of compensation to the girl was offered UNTIL we had to ask multiple times. To which he agreed even though you could clearly see he didn’t want too.
Thankfully no harm was caused to my friend who was vigilant enough to notice the cream on the cake. ALL allergies should be taken seriously REGARDLESS of what it is and the staff should always take accountability of this.
