This is a great place for my fellow gluten-free eaters. Immediately when I indicated that I did not eat gluten, I was told that I could eat everything, including fries. I even got gluten-free bread to dip in the gravy. Had no problems afterwards. Top top top!

I recently dined at Loetje and tried the Biefstuk 0.0 (€23.5), a vegetarian steak made from soy, mustard, milk, and gluten, served with the authentic Loetje jus. This plant-based steak is incredibly close to the original, with a great texture and juicy flavor that rivals real beef. The unique taste was a delightful surprise, making it the best vegan meat alternative I've ever had. Along with the steak, we enjoyed fried onions (€3.75), fries with mayonnaise (€6.75), and a mixed salad with bacon (€6.75). The meal, accompanied by two Weihenstephaner beers, was fantastic. We sat on the terrace by the water, basking in the sun. The service was prompt and friendly, and the overall dining experience was pleasant. While Loetje might not offer a unique dining ambiance, the consistent quality and now excellent plant-based options make it a favorite. Highly recommend!
