Just right. I've visited a few times now, and this place is consistently comfortable while also pleasantly surprising each time. The vibe is relaxed, though the service is attentive and prompt. Staff is friendly, guests seem to be lifted up in the atmosphere. Menus rotate some items seasonally, so there's always a nice balance of the new and the familiar. Visited on a recent Saturday for a dinner. Discovered attention to detail in gluten free items - with a particularly careful server and bartender to ensure safety, and a small wooden "flag" labelling the GF safety of the specially made grilled cheese. Tried a new Gingerberry Shandy, and bartender Kiana seemed eager to develop a new fruity cocktail using this as a base. Delicious! Highly recommend the burgers, all varieties of fries, anything gluten free, and the presentation of the bruschetta was impressive to get us started. Family friendly. Teens, parents, and small children all seemed to enjoy themselves here. Mocktails! Decor is unique with attention to detail. Heck, the rotating menu of beers and ciders is even displayed in unique artwork above the bar. Each drink they brew has its own story and history to go with the art. Recommend parking in back to avoid the construction on the main street out front, and there are doors in front and back. Hosts monitor both sides and are quickly welcoming. There's a community-oriented vibe here. They offer a "pay it forward" meal purchase for the hungry. And for the busy folks, they even offer boxed lunch takeouts if you call in advance. Gotta return soon to figure out what the Oatesmeal is all about.
