I’m a gluten-free traveler who would recommend this tiny little cafe to anyone regardless of gluten status. What a delightful - and filling - experience! My husband ordered one of the set menus (see photo), and I went a little crazy and ordered the smoothie, the salmon, a pancake, and a latté (decisions are hard sometimes). It was all incredible, and I’ll be thinking about that pancake for a long time. It doesn’t say gluten-free, but I’m trusting previous reviewers and going with it being gluten-free. It tasted like rice flour and maybe even a little corn flour? It was sweet, like having delicious crispy-yet-fluffy-soft cake for breakfast. The staff were very polite and service was great start to finish.
Quick note that this place is SMALL. It’s almost like eating in someone’s dining room. So I suspect it can fill up quickly. But if you get fit it into your time in Kyoto, it is absolutely worth it!
