Lorraine's Magic Hill

We ate at Lorraine’s as a group of friends twice during our stay in Kefalonia and had the most wonderful time. Two members of our party are gluten free and Lorraine adapted the menu for them and took time to explain the menu. Lorraine herself was an incredible host and our waiter Cristos was brilliant. The prawns were the best I have ever had and the pork and moussaka were amazing. We also thought the cocktails were incredible. Lorraine really made our trip for us and we can’t wait to come back. 10/10 recommend.

If you are celiac don't go there. They intoxicated me significantly, I was very ill. If you are celiac don't eat here. Even though I had called to make sure I could eat safely, as a celiac, explained to the owner even in person, spoke to the waiters and asked for further confirmation when the dishes arrived that they were gluten-free, it was of no use: a purge. Yet they have the crossed-out ear of corn on the menu and the reviews talk about gluten-free... all extremely misleading. I hope to spare other celiacs this bad experience. From the owner's response to this review I deduce that she has no knowledge of cross contamination, 20ppm =20mg/kg, she was lucky that I was celiac and not allergic. The place is beautiful, it's a shame to pay to feel terrible.
