Los Tíos is a hidden gem! not only is the whole restaurant gluten free and the staff knowledgeable about celiac, the food is incredible. We had the quesadilla grande and carnitas, al pastor, and chicken chipotle tacos. the tortillas were phenomenal! Martín, the chef, was very welcoming and came out to chat with us about the food. My celiac husband said the tres leches was the fluffiest, lightest, most flavorful GF dessert he’s ever had. Martín was sweet enough to give us a slice of banana cheesecake on the house and it was similarly incredible. You would never know it’s gluten free. The food had none of the sandy, thick, block-like texture we’ve come to expect of gluten free food. A MUST-STOP next time we’re in virginia.
