Extremely disappointed with everything especially as it was a Jubilee treat. My fiend and I arrived just before 2pm and there was no one to check booking as expected. We waited for a pot of tea to be served for a long time and by the time the milk arrived the tea was cold. A fiend at the end of the table was served her gluten free sandwiches before the rest which embarrassed her as no one else had had anything and we had been there almost an hour. Eventually sandwiches arrived on a plate not well presented and dry on top suggesting they had been standing. Not only was this unappetising but raised questions about the safety of the food. The cake stand arrived a little later and was fine but the cream for scones arrived later and there was only half a small pot of jam for each scone and no butter. The poor staff were put in a very difficult situation as it was obviously not their fault but distressing when we were put in a position of complaint. Quite honestly the worst afternoon tea I have ever had . You have now given a £5 refund which means I have still paid £14 for a scone and 2 cakes and a small lemon possett! I expect more in the way of an apology for such a poor experience and a greater refund in compensation.

Dog friendly, gluten free options, fab staff, atmosphere both lunch time and evening very happy with the mulled wine recipe, will be back.Nicole is fab.
