Lowes Foods of Clemmons

I don't shop at Lowes Foods often because it is not convenient, but I love it when I do. Their sausage is awesome, especially the Smokey Joe. They carry a large array of locally produced items. They also seem to be the only local grocery store that carries catfish -- can you believe that? Oh, and they offer beer and wine tasting. 😋 Update 10/2024 My food requirements have changed recently. One of the most difficult is going gluten-free. Shopping can be frustrating and overwhelming. Lowe's Foods puts tags on the shelves marking gluten-free items. It is incredibly helpful. Update 5/2025 And they have the *best* fried chicken! The sides are hit and miss, but the chicken is worth driving out of the way for. It is lightly battered and nicely seasoned without being overly salty. Call ahead and they will make it fresh for you. Mmmm, yum!

Best selection of gluten free beer and ciders in an area grocery store by far. Great selection of organic produce and gluten free bakery items. Lots of interesting local items not stocked at other grocery stores.
