Place was off the beaten path for our trip. We wanted to support local instead of a chain Italian restaurant. My daughter picked this place.
We arrived for dinner. Party of 6. Waitress was very nice, but seemed to be the only support staff out front. Couple areas of note:
Food- food was bad, but wasn't top tier. They claim theyake everything including the noodles and dough. Pizza was good according to my kids. Tortellini wasn't too bad. The sauce was good. My daughter got the gluten free and didn't enjoy it, but that's her fault not the restaurant. I didn't think the GF noodles were bad. I got the Luce's platter. It was fair, but again not amazing. The meatballs had a very strong beef
Flavoring if you enjoy that.
The menu- the menu is not up to date. Menu calls out a roasted Parmesan and cesear (sp? Caesar dressing?). When we asked for Caesar they stated they don't have one. The manicotti gives no option for cheese on the menu, it is supposed to have beef and veal, but in actuality there are no meat manicotti, it is only cheese. I didn't mind that much when I ordered, but the menu should represent the food choices.
Bathroom- when I used the restroom it looked like it hadn't been checked for supply in a while. 2 empty rolls, no rolls. Needed to get assistance, thankfully before the business. They fixed it immediately.
Staff- seemed friendly. Up front staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Not sure how many kitchen staff, but food came out in the expected time table.
Overall it was an average visit, with average food. I'm sure if you live in the area it is a good choice. Passing through Columbia, I would find a closer joint.
