Had a reservation for 12:30. Didn’t get our food until 2 pm. And at that time was told the kitchen was backed up. That should have been something to say from the start. The building was freezing cold and dark. Being there so long Ruined the plans for the rest of my day. By the time we got our food we had to pack it up and leave. When we finally did get our food, my shrimp was cold, asked for cheese grits and got plain bland grits. My daughter’s waffle was also served cold. The fish and shrimp was over salted. The server was inattentive. Our drinks were watered down by the time the food came. Even after having to get up and ask for the check I had to wait another 10 minutes before anyone brought it. Completely ruined my Mother’s Day. Horrible experience, customer service and mediocre food. My first time here will be my last. This is the experience I had when trying to support a local black owned business. I really wanted to love it and was excited to see it was gluten free. But sadly this hit way below the mark.
