Like honestly, Doug Katz eat your heart out- come order at Lucky’s and see what it feels like when fusion cuisine actually fuses! If you are in the mood for an extraordinary pizza made with fresh dough that benefits from decades of traditional knowledge, Lucky’s breaks the mold by forging innovative culinary delights- you simply MUST try the Birria pizza, topped with a family recipe slow cooked beef that is worth the drive (AND the calories!). The Caribbean menu is out of this world- we could live on the Arepas, and the avocado tacos are a dream for the veggies in the crowd! Have a gluten issue? No problem! I’ve had all of the marked GF items on the menu and have NEVER had an issue (and I am very sensitive to gluten). The servers are all personable, welcoming, hospitable and oh mercy, do they know how to mix a delicious beverage! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up on “the rock,” a perfect cooler for these hot summer days- tequila based with lime and kiwi, it starts sassy with a friendly tartness that quickly turns to a soft fruity sweetness- and just as it begins to get sweet, the tequila smooths out the sip and you leave each visit with your straw refreshed, delighted, and wanting to come back for more! I haven’t had it, but I have seen people order the lychee martini and then order more because they are so delicious! Whether you live in the neighborhood, make the drive from a neighboring community, or are visiting Cleveland from far away, come visit Lucky’s and taste what’s good in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood!
