Lucy's on a plate

Great night at lucy's on a plate. The menus are printed daily with a lovely daily notice on the front which i thought was a lovely touch. The food was delicious, great portion sizes and there were lots of gluten free options for my boyfriend. The steak was cooked great and was served with a heaping of garlic butter and peppercorn sauce (the garlic butter is insane) My only downside of the food was the chicken was slightly overcooked but the flavours of the dish and other components were great so balanced it out Staff were on the whole good, welcoming. Knocked a star off because the relaxed environment meant that staff often were talking a lot to the guests and it took a while to get our orders in.

Good food served by great staff all in a excellent and friendly relaxed atmosphere . Best meal I have had in a long time. Gluten free was no problem to them and the choice was second to none. Early bird menu has plenty of choices and is great value for 2 or 3 courses. I would highly recommend a visit. Best in Ambleside by far. If there was more than 5 stars they would get them but 5 is the maximum I can give them.
