Luella's Bar-B-Que (Too)

Gluten-free friendly vegetarian friendly. Welcoming staff, very pleasant. Very helpful. I had the Texas stuffed baked potato and it was delicious. They have nice choices for sauce, I really enjoyed the Pisgah BBQ sauce. I would eat here again!

Luella's was on my list of places to try while we were in Asheville! I read on a website that they're generally Celiac friendly. At first when I asked our waiter if they had a gluten free menu, he said there wasn't and they don't have gluten free bread... And nothing else. I tried to figure out the menu on my own. And then when the waiter came back I explained that I needed a little more information than that and sent him to the kitchen with a list of questions to make sure I could eat there safely. He double checked my meal, the seasoning, the sauce, and the sides. What started out as slightly frustrating turned into a good experience once I explained my need for detailed allergen information. The turkey breast is absolutely delicious and I would definitely eat there again.
