As a big fan of Pizza and Italian food I was anxious to try the new Luna Cafe in Clayton. We ordered take out. The staff is great. The restaurant it self felt like I was in a surgical room, very cold and frankly unwelcoming. Now for the food, we ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for one, my husband said it tasted like it came out of a can, not enough sauce for the amount of pasta and one little meatball that again my husband said it tasted like a frozen meatball from the grocery store. We also ordered the sauted mushroom which looked like those mushrooms out of a jar that were just sauteed with spices, I ordered the pizza bones with bacon. NOT at all what I expected. The bacon was just thrown on what looked like a pizza with no sauce or cheese, just bland and tough to eat( like it was over done). I also ordered the gluten free pizza that went in the trash. I couldn't even eat it with a knife and fork. I know gluten dough is hard to work with, but I can't even describe what it was. We live less than 3 miles away and the food was cold. So wanted this new place to be good, unless they get a new chef that knows Italian style foods, then this is not a place I would recommend.
