I have celiac, so I requested a gluten free pasta - "no problem", I was told. I order the pasta bolognese. The gluten free pasta that night was spaghetti - great. The bolognese sauce was great, but the gluten free spaghetti was way under cooked. I have been cooking gluten free for 20 years. Gluten free pasta needs to cook longer than "normal" pasta. I told the waiter it was under cooked and sent it back. No more than 3-4 minutes later he returns with another (maybe the same) dish of spaghetti. It was still under cooked. At this point I decided that sending it back again would be the definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result - so, I just excepted the fact they were not going to cook it the way I wanted. In addition to this, my wife and I are small eaters, so we asked for one small salad to share. They charged us $5 to split the salad. They also charge $4.50 extra for the gluten free pasta. Our bill for the meal was $115 - one small salad, a dish of spaghetti bolognese, a dish of Gnocchi and 2 glasses of wine. Needless to say, everything was over priced and our server was not very friendly - especially after complaining about the gluten free pasta.
