I really wanted to love this restaurant. I really really wanted to love this restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed but classy. The location is very convenient. The service was impeccable. The food missed the mark. We tried a variety of things on the menu, and ashamed to say the only thing we'd order again is the shrimp. I had been looking forward to this risotto I kept reading about, but it fell flat and was barely reminiscent of a risotto. The crab was all but non-existent and the base was watery instead of creamy - like there was too much chicken broth. We had gone on a Wednesday when they have the gluten free fried chicken. It was not what I was expecting, but very edible. The fries were good. I think due to the atmosphere and menu on paper I was expecting a Del Prado level of food, and that was not a fair expectation of the restaurant. I applaud the amount of gluten free items on the menu and how knowledgeable the staff was about food allergies. Our waiter was phenomenal. At some point we will try again because I think the restaurant has a lot of potential - and a lot of gluten free options.

Our family have been long time supports of the restaurant group of Lynette when they used to own Lyn65, and have always enjoyed the variety of delicious gluten free offerings. Since our family is celiac, we try to be selective with restaurants that can accommodate for proper conditions to avoid cross contamination in the kitchen. Our favorite food item we look forward to every Wednesday is there GF fried chicken that is a rare treat for people like us. On our first visit, our server told us they had a dedicated fryer for their chicken to avoid cross contamination and felt fine after eating the food. On our second visit on a Sunday, we had ordered the tempura shrimp and duck fat fries that are labeled gluten free on the menu. We told our server we were Celiac and wanted to ensure the food was being prepared in a dedicated fryer. He checked with the kitchen after putting our order in and said that the shrimp and fries are cooked in a shared fryer with gluten containing foods. We decided to cancel the order as to avoid getting sick. As an fyi, there is no such thing as "GLUTEN FRIENDLY" food, there is only gluten free. I respect restaurants that either go all in and take the necessary precautions to have something as simple as a dedicated fryer, or leaving the GF labels off menu items that are technically GF, but really aren't because of cross contamination. The food and hospitality are great and will definitely come back, but could be better once they figure out their dedicated fryer.
