I will start by saying that knowing and being a regular customer of the Brasserie de l'Entrecôte in Portugal (3 restaurants in Lisbon and one in Cascais), the Madrid restaurant does not reach the sole of the shoe, it is like the shabby version, a crude imitation, but Those who don't know the others and don't know what an entrecote is may be relatively happy, although neither the meat, nor the sauce, nor even the fries are worth a penny. But in our particular case, the "ni fu ni fa" of the dinner was joined by the bad vibes created there by the staff.
When we arrived at the restaurant (I think we were the second table to occupy, it was empty when we arrived) and asked to sit on the terrace, the manager insisted that we sit in an interior dining room under the main room, and when we refused when we began to lower the tables, stairs told us that we had not requested a terrace when making the reservation (there was no place on the website where it indicated it, if only a box where, I suppose, people will say that they are gluten intolerant). The fact is that we said that we were not going down to the basement and he reluctantly sat us outside but not on the covered terrace but directly on the street. Despite the temperature (it was cold), we preferred it. From there people began to arrive and they tried to go down to the basement. Most of them sat next to us or left the restaurant directly due to the bad gesture of the maitre'd because it is not what they expected. In addition, a bad atmosphere was created between the manager and the waiters that was not only unpleasant and uncomfortable for customers but also affected the table service itself. We weren't the only ones of the night to know that they would never see each other there again...
I don't upload photos because it's not worth it. You just have to look at the appearance of the meat they hang on in other reviews. And that sauce... Unspeakable.
