Cute Atmosphere, But Not Great for Gluten-Free The restaurant has a really cute atmosphere, and the service was good, but if you’re gluten-free, the options are very limited. While they do offer substitutes, they are not worth the extra cost—you get significantly less food, and the quality doesn’t justify the price. I paid $35 for breakfast with a latte (not including tip!! Was over $40) which just didn’t feel worth it and I left feeling slightly hungry still. If you don’t have dietary restrictions, you might have a better experience, but for gluten-free people, it’s not the best value.

Our experience at MILKWEED this morning was an absolute 10/10. It's incredibly rare, having worked in kitchens and the service industry, for me to have not a single complaint, recommendation, or thing that couldve been done better, but this is one of those times. The service was phenomenal, the atmosphere was vibrant and beautiful, and the food was to die for. Short rib Benedict? Absolutely incredible. Avocado toast? Generous with the avocado, perfectly seasoned and toasted, with a perfect fried egg nestled on top. And for our gluten allergy party member, the grits were SO FAR from being a side dish, they were a full and complete meal, delicious and perfectly cooked. Cannot recommend MILKWEED highly enough, and while it IS in downtown Pitman, with the public parking lot RIGHT across the street there's not a single excuse not to go!

I have always wanted to try this place. It seems so cozy and quaint. The outdoor was appealing to me. However, we were sedated in the noisy quaint inside near the cold air vent. We were offered to sit at another table inside. Which we did. With not much elbow room to spare. We were so close to the table next to us I can smell the deliciousness of the food of the girls plate next to me. Oh how I wanted to try those truffle fired potatoes! To my dismay, eventhough they advertise they are celiac friendly. They do not have a separate fryer for those potatoes and ran out of GF bread. I ordered the short rib egg omelet with a side salad, still sad about the potatoes. I was even more disappointed when my order arrived. A hot egg omelet with hair on it and a partially warm "salad" with only mixed greens and dressing. They did remake the omelet. Left still feeling hungry. I was also not a fan of looking from the online menu to order. A bit of an inconvenience for me. Will not be returning.
