MISSION BBQ

I am not even sure where to begin with this review - I am so impressed with Mission BBQ. I was catering my daughters Sweet 16. It was Country Western themed so BBQ was the goal. My son was recently diagnosed with celiacs so we are constantly on the look out for knowledgeable gluten free restaurants. It was not hard to find Mission with their detailed and easily accessible allergy information. I placed my order with Dani H. It felt more like I was planning a menu with a friend than ordering from a restaurant. She was interested in my event and who was coming. She made very useful suggestions based on our intended guests. Dani was in tune to my allergy concern and reviewed all options and followed up with written information. The delivery was seamless. It included set up, even lighting of sternos. Adding again to their attentiveness to allergy issues they brought a printed menu with allergy information and highlighted all the foods we ordered that were gluten free. We had the pulled pork, sliced brisket, Mac and cheese, baked beans, corn bread, slider rolls, Cole Slaw and a variety of sauces. Everything was delicious, the portions were generous and the leftovers heat up like a dream!

Stumbled upon Mission BBQ after a fail @Honest Roots ( sadly very few Gluten Free options) Mission BBQ understood the Mission - they had a clearly marked GF menu including BBQ sauces. The team was also super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, allergy related questions etc. Environment was casual, food was delicious- there are even seafood options. Highly recommended and will definitely return. Also my husband got a banana pudding that he said was delicious… we needed a nap after eating here !

I’m giving 3 stars. The food was fabulous and the staff very nice but I have celiac which is like a gluten allergy. I told them this when I made my order. Since I have to be careful with cross contamination I sadly have to watch how they prepare my food. I saw a young lady pick up cornbread and then picked up a French fry of mine that was on the counter and put it on my plate. This is a big no no for me. I kindly asked the manager to get me new fries which he happily did but they need to do better with the awareness of different allergies or celiac such as myself. If I go again I will ask the manager to prepare my food.
