I've been a loyal customer at MOM's for a long time, but I have to say that my last visit blew me away in a positive way.
In general, it's great to get consistently vegan dishes and to go through a menu without having to worry about "what's in it?" or "can I eat that?"
However, if you have an intolerance, things will often still be tight. Not only is there a lack of information, but the labels in the menus/menus are often unreliable. So when you search for “gluten-free” it often looks poor and you don’t feel like you’ve been well advised. For me as a newbie in the intolerance game, it's a newly discovered tragedy.
It's completely different at MOM's: Although there aren't very many dishes that are gluten-free, the very nice employee was very well informed and knew the ingredients of the dishes by heart. She was able to help me when I almost ordered something risky because she knew the recipe had been adjusted and the dish might no longer be tolerable. The menus, she admitted, still need to be adjusted.
I always felt well advised, even though the selection wasn't extremely large, and with a few adjustments we were able to put together a really great menu for me. So I would love to come back. The employee took her time even though the store was full.
