My husband and I are gluten & cow dairy free and we are always double checking because while I would be mostly uncomfortable, my husband will be sick for days. They told us in advance that the marinara contained butter. My husband ordered grilled calamari and a pasta with various veggies and shrimp sautéed in olive oil and garlic for us to share. I would have preferred the shrimp Diablo but they told me it has dairy in it. While the server was so kind, the grilled calamari contained butter and it had to be remade. When it came back —specially delivered by the chef—it came again with the marinara. We questioned this because we were told all marinas had butter. Yet this had no butter. I asked if I could have the shrimp Diablo without butter. Yes! So I ordered that. The shrimp came in hardly any marinara and it wasn’t Diablo. It was very bland . The server said, no, shrimp Diablo had butter. At this point I just gave up, altho it did tell her that the chef said the Diablo could be made without butter and I would not have changed my order if I knew I was going to get something that was basically chef boy ardi with shrimp. What a disaster!!!! Communication is key, folks. I filled out a survey that they emailed a day or two later expecting a response (waiting to post this review in case they made good on this mistake—at the very least they could have comped my meal. But never heard from them so …. My husband on the other had enjoyed his custom pasta dish which he instructed them on how to make it. He
Is a great cook.
