Usually I love Maggie McFly’s as they have great options for gluten free, however I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with our latest visit. I ordered chicken Milanese and said gluten free. When our order finally arrived, I started to eat the chicken when I realized it had fettuccine noodles and not penne- the only gluten free form of pasta they offer. It took about 5 minutes before I could track down a server to help me. When she came over she said oh, “you wanted gluten free pasta too?” And I said, “yes, I have a gluten intolerance and I asked for gluten free.” She said, “oh yeah, you’re right. The kitchen messed up.” She then took my plate and went to the kitchen. It was another 15-20 minutes before I got my food. My fiancé was never offered ketchup for his fries and had to steal a random bottle from the bar. He finished his entire meal before I finally got mine. We asked when we got the bill if there was anything they could do for us for the messed up order and long wait. The waitress said she’d ask the manager. She returned saying, “the manager said there’s nothing we can take off. Sorry.” Didn’t offer any discount or free dessert or anything for screwing up my order, and not just a simple mess up but what could have been a more serious issue if this was an allergy over an intolerance. Any place I have been that has messed up an order like that has always offered some sort of compensation for the delay and problem. Here we were just told to deal with it. And “sorry.” Always thought Maggie McFly’s took care of their customers but apparently that’s not the case in Glastonbury. I’ll think twice before going back to that location. Would not recommend for anyone with dietary restrictions looking to enjoy a nice meal out.
Just what I thought- radio silence. I reached out as instructed and no one ever got back to me. I will not be going back to this location and will never recommend it.
