Our family has supported Main Street Pizza from the time we moved here nearly two years ago. We are big proponents of supporting local business. I sincerely wish I didn't feel my only option was writing a poor review.
I called Main Street Pizza today to ask for the owners email so I could write them personally. I was 100% positive they would not be pleased with their management of the pizzas going out.
The manager working when I got my pizza today at 3:30pm (2/25/22) said that they didn't have the owners email or phone number or any contact information and they said I couldn't meet them in person because when the owner comes is sporadic. Okay. Next line of help:
I tried communicating with the manager why I wanted to support them as a local business and why I was disappointed in 90% of our orders with them. We have a very simple order. He challenged every one of my issues with excuses.
Here is my request: one cheese pizza and one crispy bacon & pepperoni pizza. One gluten free cheese pizza. Cook them well done. If the toppings are sparse, I want extra toppings and I'm great paying for that.
That's it. That's the order.
We are a potential $50-$60 a week customer. Not much, but we buy pizza every Friday. Each time I order from Main Street I ask for our pizza to be left in the oven until it's well done. I have yet to get that request fulfilled. The manager told me cooking well done pizza isn't always possible since they might be busy and need to get the pizzas out. That's not a problem for Two Jacks pizza down the road...additionally, I placed my order at 3:30pm at a low traffic time of day. At the time we picked our pizza up today, we were the only pizza being prepared.
Also, Main Street Pizza goes very light on the amount of toppings they give. That's fine I can work around that by ordering extra of everything. Today I ordered "extra sauce, extra cheese, and extra toppings". As fate would have it, yet again, not only did they leave out one of the toppings (crispy bacon), from the photo below you can see they put the pepperoni UNDER the cheese which leaves the pepperoni soggy and uncooked. Our family joked that we should require one of the staff to eat one slice of their pizza and see if they can stomach what they made.
Additionally the pizza crust is soggy on the bottom (not well done).
Lastly, the metal pizza tray it was cooked on was not removed but placed in the pizza box.
I really want to support local!
I want our business owners to know we want them to stay!
Sadly, I can't continue to throw away money so I'm taking my business to Two Jacks down the road. I really hope this review initiates a conversation with someone who can change things so I can remove it and not have to leave it up. I don't want local businesses to lose customers.
The photos below is the crispy bacon & pepperoni pizza. Though you can't see the pepperoni under the cheese or the crispy bacon (not included), you get the gist.
