Summary: A gluten friendly restaurant that misses the mark with variety of choice and upscaling old classics.
Overall, the service was good with a nice waitress that was able to kindly answer all questions for the individuals with dietary restrictions at the table. The price per item was a good 20% higher than similar restaurants. Parking was very convenient with the garage sharing a wall with the restaurant.
Reasons why I specifically did not have as great of an experience as you may have: I do not drink alcohol and as a place that prides themselves as being a "taqueria +cocktail bar" this essentially took half of their specialty away, I ordered the blue corn tortillas with my food which while I prefer corn tortillas in most circumstances, they are the objectively wrong choice at Mal Pan as their Flour Tortillas are just that much better.
