Mostly Vegetarian & Vegan friendly dishes, gluten free and sugar free. Delicious healthy food with fine cost. Recommended Cozy dining place to hang out.

Enter the favorites list! This restaurant has a new branch in Jakarta. The other four branches are in Bali (Sanur and Ubud). Malaika has many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food options. On the menu, there will be signs which dishes are vegan and vegetarian. For dessert, there will be sugar-free information too. I order 1. Blackened Egg with GF Pumpkin Bread (vegetarian and gluten-free), 65k. 2. Vegan Tempe Tofu with Galangal Flower (vegan and gluten-free), 45k. 3. Chicken Dumpling with Anchovies (gluten-free), 5 pcs, 55k. Everything is delicious. Flavourful! I also takeaway Sweet Potato Loaf (vegan, gluten free). This is also delicious. The texture will be harder and denser compared to white bread in general, but it won't make it difficult to eat. The texture is almost like sourdough with a softer crust and a less sour taste. Sweet and savory are suitable for this bread. It's better if it's warmed up first. However, it's better not to use a microwave or not use it for too long (recommended 20 seconds) because the moisture can disappear. The service is also very good. Explanations about the food are also helpful, starting from the ingredients used, what it will taste like, consumption suggestions, to storage times. In my opinion, the prices are also really good when compared to restaurants with similar menus in South Jakarta. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Outstanding gluten free restaurant in Jakarta. The non-gf members of my family also love it. We've both eaten in and ordered via GoJek delivery numerous times; they're quick and dependable.
