Mallee Grill

A big let-down! Especially considering the prices charged. Even the basics, nuggets & chips were so overcooked to being almost inedible. To anyone wondering, the 'steak' actually comes as a couple of random chunks, half of ours was like leather. The seafood was surely frozen and tasted wierd. I think it comes with salad bar(?), not that we were informed of it. Clincher was that we ordered 1 burger with gluten-free bun, but they had run out of buns, so the 'burger' was served without it, yet we were still charged a gluten-free surcharge! And the salad on this 'burger' was old and soggy. Waitresses at least provided good service (although we were also served wrong drinks, but they were nice about fixing it). Building is also nice. Shame they were let down by everything else. I would have rated 2 stars overall, but the food was just that bad. Birthday dinner ruined. We do NOT recommend coming here unless you feel like paying a premium for nothing.

Wonderful atmosphere. There are plenty of tables in the open for large groups and some booths if you are after a more intermite experience. Beautiful selection of food including dairy free, gluten free options and a self-serve salad bar. Delicious Scotch fillet! Friendly staff is always a big plus for me. I would definitely recommend. 🫶
