Calvin the waiter was extraordinary--he gave excellent service the best we have had our entire stay here at the Lowe's, Portofino, or in Universal Park. He went above and beyond even offered to steam the almond milk for my coffee. The restaurant itself has beautiful classic Italian decor. The food quality is solid, but Calvin the waiter was extra special to my daughter with her gluten allergy and made menu recommendations and was so helpful. Highly recommend and if you need an excellent waiter request Calvin💕💕💕

I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. Here are just a few of my highlights: 1. The level of service from our waitresses and waiters was exceptional. Truly felt taken care of (we dined here twice during our 4 night stay at Universal). 2. The food was absolutely delicious, all the people in our party were satisfied with their meal, and we ordered everything from appetizers to pastas to the tenderloin and the gnocchi. Everything was top notch, from top quality ingredients to exceptional cooking. 3. As a celiac with limited dining options, and even more limited GOOD dining options, I can say that this place truly went above and beyond. My meal did not suffer quality or taste by being gluten free, which is often what happens when you eat out as a celiac. I had multiple (tasty) options to choose from, as well I was given gluten free bread with olive oil and roasted garlic at the start of the meal, which is what everyone else had with bread. This may seem like a small thing, but it is often these little details that we celiacs get left out of. I truly appreciated having all facets of my meal thoughtfully considered. I had two meals at this restaurant and felt safe, comfortable and satiated by both. 4. The live music was exceptional. Having the live musicians wander around the restaurant and talking to the tables isa truly unique, personal touch. It makes for dinner and an experience at no additional cost. If we are ever in Orlando again, I will be sure to stop here for dinner every time.
