I am not from VA, was here visiting, and this was an incredibly nice surprise! The food was fantastic! I have soy and gluten allergies, and they actually had quite a few items I could order! The staff were professional, worked with us, and the restaurant was clean and packed with people! You would have never known due to the efficiency with the staff.

I have Celiac disease so I called before going to this restaurant. I explained to the man I spoke with that I have Celiac Disease and asked if they can accomodate gluten free. He said it depends on what I want. I named a few dishes and he said they could make them gluten free. I was greeted at the door and taken to a table. Very soon after being seated a server came and took my drink order. Waiting for my drink to atrive I perused the menu. None of the dishes I asked about were on the menu. When the server returned with my drink she asked if I was ready to order. I told her about my conversation and asked if I had been misguided because none of those dishes were on the menu. She went to the kitchen and returned to the table saying that they could make those dishes but without the traditional brown sauce because they do not have gluten free soy sauce. If I had been told that over the phone I would not have even attempted going there. None of the dishes I was looking for would taste the same without the sauce. I politely excused myself and left the restaurant disappointed.
