Mama Foo Foo

We had Kate for our waiter and she was INCREDIBLE. Recommend awesome food and drinks and we were blown away when I told her I was gluten free - she had the kitchen toast a gluten free bun so that I could enjoy the burrata with the rest of the table. It’s so hard to find places that will accommodate me because of an allergy I can’t control and Mama Foo Foo did a phenomenal job. Their gluten free options include GF pasta and buns so people with gluten allergies can enjoy pretty much the entire menu. Let’s talk cocktails: AMAZING. A manager, Bobby, came by our table to check in on us and his suggestions were right on pointe. We had the Midnight Hustle, Mexican Barracuda, and the La Bonne Vie (vodka) - all of which were delicious and something our group decided we’d order again. Bobby and Kate made our evening spectacular and the food was the cherry on top. Fresh scallops, the shrimp scampi, and the bolognese were the perfect way for us to end a beautiful vacation. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was beautiful and fun but the service was awful. Went with a party of 5 people, we had a reservation and hostess sat us immediately. We were seated in a back private room kinda closed off from the dining room it was wonderful. Our server did not greet us for atleast 10-15 mins. Then later on I asked her what was gluten free, which she didn’t have an answer, and said she would get the gluten free menu for me. 15-20 mins later she comes back with it and starts taking everyone’s order… like I’m sorry but how long does it take to grab a piece of paper and also I had no time to chose. Then 15 mins before our food came she asked if we wanted another drink and my husband and I got another… she did not bring our drinks until EVERYONE was done eating. And as she saw our irritation she said “I’m so sorry there was no one there to run these for Me..” like what?! If you are so busy ask a manager, ask the bartender, another server. Either she forgot to ring them In or they sat at the bar for 20+ mins. For how high our bill and how expensive the food is you would think there would be much prompter service. I’ve served my whole life… from nice trendy bars to fine dining and always love to tip well and be taken care of out to eat… and this wasn’t it.
