High quality, elevated but still traditional southern Chinese taste. Steamed beef rolls were silky and flavoursome, with a nice hint of coriander. The beef tendons were soft and delicious. The dumplings were all gluten free and perfectly steamed. Crispy skin chicken was deboned which was a pleasant surprise. The soft shell crab (also gluten free) was crispy and I could tell the oil was very fresh. This was honestly the best soft shell crab I have had. All in all, a succulent Chinese meal indeed.

Dined at Mama Mulans several times over the years. From date nights with my wife to private dining rooms. Food is consistently good with a focus on seafood. Service is great and feels upscale for Chinese food. Dumplings are always a go to, with 5 gluten free varieties. Can be very noisy when busy.. A stand alone restaurant at the rooftop of the concourse at Chatswood. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic! This is not your local cheapie but well worth the cost. It’s difficult to find -I had to get directions from another restaurant. It is right up on top of the library up a couple of flights of stairs. It’s a large restaurant but it’s still better to book. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The serves are generous and flavoursome. The menu is not large so you don’t have to trawl through 150 dishes. There are some gluten-free dishes and there are seafood options although most are in the “live” menu which is pricey. We ordered salt and pepper tofu for an entree and main courses were stir fried wagu beef and vegetables, plus very tasty steamed fish fillets. Total cost for 2 was $158 including drinks. Highly recommended.
