Mana Uluwatu Restaurant & Bar

This was more elevated than the google photos make it out to be. I was impressed by the presentation and the flavor. Their cocktail program is great too, not too many fruity cocktails and a mixologist who understands balance of flavors in a mixed drink. We went on a Wednesday night and made reservations a head of time which we were seated promptly upon arrival. There was an awesome jazz band playing which switched to a local artist then back to the full band in the course of us being there for our 2 hour dining experience. The views were beautiful before the sun went down and after there was peaceful breeze off the ocean while we ate, surprising because it just rained and it wasn’t too muggy. The service was top notch, and they were able to accommodate my gluten free and dairy free needs, having multiple options on the menu. The only thing I wouldn’t order again was the sirloin. It’s was a bit tough for a medium rare.

Bad experience, In 3 for breakfast, being celiac I ordered gluten-free bread with jams. While mom fruit salad. I was brought the butter with jams immediately, but without bread, while the others were served. The bread arrived 20 minutes after the butter that was now melted and with croissants on top, or with gluten and that my bread was contaminated. I had to refuse it and send it back. In the meantime the butter became water, the two friends finished breakfast and my bread still waiting (because it was frozen) after about 40-45 minutes of waiting. Very nice location but for everything else you need a lot of patience.

Mana was aware of the gluten free options and I felt safe eating here despite being Celiac, really recommend!
