The best breads and pastries in the greater Bay Area, on par (and better in some regards) to Tartine in SF. They have a small seasonal selection of gluten-free goods for those who are allergic/sensitive, such as chocolate cake, pumpkin cake, and lemon rhubarb cake. Their cookies are wholesome and delicious and pair great with their baristas' espressos, capuccinos, and lattés (which are consistently well micro-foamed and extracted).
