Good portion size and good Thai, but it wasn't anything special which I was expecting based on the previous reviews. Good for gluten free option though. A bit overpriced.

Me and my wife having travelled around Thailand for a few months a few years back and really missed the food there and we are always in search of decent local authentic Thai restaurant. We came to Mantra recently and found an absolute gem. The food just blew me away tasted so fresh and authentic just like in Thailand. The belly pork, satay chicken and Massaman lamb curry was to die for! What made it even better was the price was so reasonable we went for the special set deal for £16.90 which we thought was excellent value for the amount of food you got and I was stuffed. I told them I’m gluten intolerant and they were able to cater for that and had a gluten free menu. The staff were also so friendly and polite. I think I have just found my new favourite restaurant in Newcastle!
