Margaritaville Restaurant - Atlanta

Ate at the Margaritaville restaurant connected to the hotel. Was wonderful being able to walk in off the street, late night, without a reservation. Our small party was quickly sat in the main dining room close to the bar. Service was charismatic and punctual. The laid back ocean vibe was very intoxicating. The specialty mixed drinks were not only delish but an investment. Souvenir cups, no matter how many drinks you order that come with them, are only 1 per customer. Gluten free options are easily identified on the menu and easily accommodated across the menu options. Lost a star because was difficult to wash hands when hotel lobby bathroom was closed for 20 minutes and restaurant did not have an alternative.

Vee was super helpful when it came to accommodating a gluten free allergy in our party. Food came out fresh and he was very attentive throughout service

My family and I visited this establishment on 02/21 during the evening service and had Emmaneual as our server. We were a party of 4 and ordered the ribs with regular fries, and the chicken tenders, coconut shrimp, and a burger with a gluten free bun, all with sweet potato fries. When our food arrived I noticed that the bun on the hamburger did not look gluten free and asked our server if it was in fact gluten free. He said he had forgotten to ring that in and took the burger away. I asked if the chef was going to remake the burger as my daughter has a gluten allergy and he said they would. They brought out my other daughter’s chicken fingers with regular fries but also another order with sweet potato fries, which I assumed because they had gotten the order wrong. When my daughters burger returned I looked at the burger because after working in the service industry, I know how to spot a “clear and sear” where they take the bun and toppings off and just replace the bun with the same toppings. This becomes a cross contamination issue and her burger meat was cold. She became ill that night and it caused a set back in our plans. We did not see our server again to alert him to the burger issue, and didn’t see anyone else but for a few fleeting moments for that matter. The staff seemed more interested in being out of sight. Our server did not come by to check on the food, or to refill drinks (two of which were empty). He only appeared to quickly drop the check which I inspected and found that we were charged an extra $9 for the sweet potato fries that we should have had in the first place with my daughters meal but they gave her regular fries instead. They charged my husband an extra $3 for his adult beverage that is listed as $12 on the menu. We were so unhappy with our whole experience that my husband said he was just ready to go. We paid the overinflated check and just took the hit for lost money. While this was a family vacation, when we visit the Atlanta area again we have permanently scratched this off of our list of restaurants to patron again. Please be advised when visiting this establishment. However, if you do visit; I hope your experience was far better than ours was.
