Only their 3rd week open, so still finding their grove, but it has a lot of potential and we will definitely be coming back. The design and ambiance are great. I love the art deco/art nouveau style and the colors.
I also liked the “build your own bowl” concept because of how customizable it is for all sorts of dietary needs, but they mentioned that is going away because it is hard on the kitchen (understandable). I hope they continue to have pre-made bowls that work for various diets. The cauliflower rice, veggie, and salad bases are great options for those who are low-carb, keto, gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.
They were out of several sauces, food and drinks options that we ordered, so there was a lot of back-and-forth trying to figure out what they did and didn’t have. I think this is because they are still in the development stages of the menu, and there have already been some changes. They were also understaffed when we were there, but we were not in a hurry.
For the food itself, most of it was fairly good. The grilled octopus didn’t really seem grilled and didn’t have the best texture. They were out of the chimichurri, which was the reason I wanted octopus for my bowl, and were also out of the other sauces that would pair well with octopus. The caprese salad was not very good—the mozzarella and tomatoes lacked flavor, and the mozzarella was not creamy or a good texture/quality. The salads and quiche were good, and I think the prices were reasonable. I tried a non-alcoholic wine and it’s fun to have those options.
We will be back for dinner and I recommend giving it a try. It is a very pretty place!
