Mario's Restaurant

I had the gluten free carbonara & mozzarella garlic pizza bread and both were delicious. Good GF Italian food is hard to find and this was lovely!

Mario's met and exceeded my expectations completely. It looked lovely, warm, and welcoming from the outside, and the menu was impressive, extensive, and really varied, so I was already expecting to enjoy the visit. But the actual experience was absolutely marvellous! Food, service, and ambience were all first class, friendly, and highly recommended. My husband is also gluten-free, which usually adds a note of tension to what he can normally expect in terms of choice and quality. Not the case at Mario's at all. Lots of choices and options and madecwith care and attention to detail. Both meals were a credit to the chef and the kitchen! I watched other people's meals being served, and they also all looked fantastic. I can definitely recommend the linguine with crab and crayfish in saffron, white wine, and chilli sauce. Never tasted any better Italian food anywhere, and I was in Rome just a few weeks ago! It's much cheaper to visit Ripon and have a stroll past the Minster in the evening sunshine and an Aperol Spritz in Mario's! Thank you! We will be coming back with our family soon.
