I really liked this place when it first opened but as the years went on it slowly went down in quality. Authentic Japanese food; Good quality and at a fair price. Now everything has gone downhill. Most of the Japanese traditional foods are ill prepared. For example the onigiri which used to be fluffy and flavorful and filled with delicious ingredients; Are now hard and glutenous masses with few other ingredients including bones. Everything is expensive including shaved ice which is $8. It seems Brookline is unable to provide food at a reasonable price. I expect them to be replaced by an animal clinic or a nail salon soon.
