Really super delicious food. Even the gluten and lactose free diet was just as delicious as the rest. Also very friendly service.

My recent experience at Marv & Ben was extremely disappointing, particularly considering the high expectations we had after confirming that they could accommodate my wife's dietary restrictions (gluten and milk allergies) ahead of time. 1. Unprofessional and Misguided Waitstaff: The waiter began our day by calling me and arguing that if my wife could eat butter, she did not truly have a milk allergy. This was not only incorrect but also highly unprofessional and dismissive of her health needs. After some back and forth he said it would be fine, and we would discuss further with the chef when we arrived. 2. Dish Unavailability: After being seated, we were informed that all of our previous communication were incorrect, and actually one of the six courses couldn't be prepared for my wife due to allergies. Despite having confirmed ahead of time via email with the co-owner that all courses could be accommodated, and the above-mentioned phone call, the waiter insisted on seeing proof. Upon showing the email, he merely acknowledged it as a mistake by "an old man". 3. Inconsistent Communication: The waiter first offered to repeat another course for my wife in place of the one they could not prepare, but then retracted, stating they could not do that, resulting in her only receiving five courses. 4. Lack of Substitution: To make matters worse, during the course she couldn’t have, my wife was left to watch me eat without being offered any alternative. For a restaurant of this caliber, this level of service is unacceptable. The staff's lack of understanding and poor handling of dietary restrictions ruined what was supposed to be a special night out. I hope Marv & Ben takes this feedback seriously and improves their service to better accommodate and respect all their customers. If you can not accommodate someone's allergies please do not wait until after they are seated and unable to secure a reservation anywhere else to inform them of this.
