My family and I ate at Mary Lucille’s on Mother’s Day for breakfast. This was our first visit there so we had high expectations. It was my husband, his parents, and our two young boys (6 and 2). Everything was hot and delicious. My boys loved the jumbo crayons and that you could color on the “tablecloth.” There were lots of offerings aside from bakery items which was important for me since I have issues with gluten. Both my husband and I had omelettes, my in-laws both had eggs Benedict, my youngest had the pancakes, and my oldest had the breakfast sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food except for my 6 year old but that is almost to be expected since he’s particular about how things are prepared. His sandwich was almost as big as his head which made it a little difficult to eat. The hashbrowns that came with it weren’t like any kind of hashbrown he’s ever had, and they honestly looked exactly like the fried potatoes that came with all of the adult meals. We had to ask for the hashbrowns after the food was brought to the table because even though they were a part of the meal they were left off. I wonder if he was just given fried potatoes for the sake of time. He was the only one that didn’t enjoy or eat much of his meal. I am planning to go back for lunch/dinner.
